Your practitioner may use one or more of the following modalities within your consultation

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an ancient healing technique using fine sterile needles to stimulate certain points on the body to direct the flow of Qi or vital energy. It can be performed on its own or in conjunction with other western medical or complimentary therapies.

Acupuncture takes into account the whole person and helps activate each patient’s natural healing processes to improve physical and emotional well-being. Treatments may focus on musculoskeletal concerns or internal medical conditions as well as mental and emotional health and wellbeing.

Acupuncture Close Up

Tuina

This is a hands-on traditional Chinese massage treatment often applied for a specific ailment in combination with other Chinese Medicine modalities like cupping, acupuncture, moxa or Chinese herbal medicine.

Swedish Massage

Cupping

An important part of Chinese medicine uses gentle suction cups rather than pressure or needles to improve circulation of Blood and Qi. It is popularly used to relieve muscular tension and may be used on many areas of the body for other conditions.

Health Assessment

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) enquiry including tongue and pulse diagnosis is an important part of your treatment.  Incorporating modern nursing evaluation and TCM assessment  expands the picture of your overall health from both an Eastern and Western medical perspective. This approach considers the whole person, helping pinpoint individual needs to determine the best modalities for balancing physical and emotional health and well-being.

Health evaluation will be conducted during every treatment and intensively before the initial consultation and after any changes in your condition.

Feel the Pulse

Reflexology

This focussed massage maps the whole body on corresponding areas of the hands and feet. Pressure and massage to these specific areas is used to encourage circulation and energy flow through the body.  Reflexology may be used for relaxation or specific conditions as a stand alone treatment or in combination with other modalities.
